A primary function of each Sheriff in the State of Ohio is the operation of the county jail. To that end, the Sheriff must maintain the security of the correctional facility, and one way this is accomplished is by having written guidelines for inmate conduct while in the facility.

Please be advised pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 341.06, sentenced prisoners will be required to reimburse Preble County for any expenses incurred by reason of your confinement in this facility.
Property & Clothing Storage
The property and clothing of an inmate are stored in a locker in the prisoner property room.
House bill 170 (O.R.C. 2929.37) permits jails to charge a one time “Reception Fee” to any person who has plead guilty or has been convicted of any offense.
