Sheriff Michael Simpson
Sheriff Simpson began his career with the Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer/Dispatcher in July, 1988. He served in that capacity until December, 1990 when he was promoted to Deputy Sheriff assigned to road patrol. In January, 1998, he was promoted to the rank of Captain by Sheriff Hayes, serving as a road patrol supervisor. On July 5, 2003, he was promoted to the rank of Chief Deputy, serving as second in command under Sheriff Hayes.
On December 3, 2003, he was appointed Sheriff of Preble County and was elected to his first full term as Sheriff in November, 2004. Sheriff Simpson is currently in his 33rd year of service with this office. Continue Reading…
