Preble County Sheriff's Office

Applications for employment with the Preble County Sheriff’s Office are accepted during normal business hours. All applications must be signed by the applicant in the presence of a Notary Public. Only completed applications will be accepted.

Applications for all positions are accepted, whether an opening currently exists or not. Applications will be kept on file for a period of 12 months, at which time they will be destroyed. Applicants, who have not been offered employment within that time period, will be required to file a new application to be considered for future positions.

Residency within Preble County is a requirement for the position of patrol deputy. Prospective candidates for this position should expect to reside in Preble County within six months from date of hire.
